The blankets are used for helping to relieve sleep disorders and mental and motor restlessness among children, adults and the elderly. The ball blankets have been developed in line with occupational therapy principles regarding sensory processing.
The ball blanket can be used as an ordinary duvet at night, or during the day where there is need to calm the body and mind. Mental and motor restlessness makes it hard to relax and impacts how we sense our bodies. Through the balls deep touch-pressure, weight and improved awareness of the body, they create calm, grounding and a sense of security, which ensures better and deeper sleep.
The blankets are sewn from flame-retardant Trevira CS Cotton fabric, the blankets are divided into channels and pockets which are filled with plastic balls. The correct blanket size depends on the age and the size of user.
We offer two sizes adult and junior and two variants - Flexible and Calm
Flexible - This blanket is divided into pockets with removable ball bags. This new design makes it possible to build a customised ball blanket according to the individual user's needs for sensory stimulation. Ball size 50mm diameter. The loose ball bags and cover can be washed in a normal washing machine.
Calm - These are highly soothing blankets with less movement. The ball blanket is sewn in channels, so the balls lie in long rows, offering a different type of sensory stimulation to the Flexible blanket. When the Calm ball blanket is rolled up, it is as compact as an overnight bag and is easy to transport. Ball size 38mm diameter. The adult blanket can be divided in two. Machine washable.
